Particularly in industrial applications with highly complex requirements and sensitive systems, the prerequisite for smooth and reliable production is to ensure optimal adaptation, durability and competent service. In recent years ViscoTec has steadily made a name for itself in the handling of media that are notoriously difficult to dose, such as high-viscosity adhesives and sealants, solid-content pastes etc... Our pumps are often referred to as abrasives handling pumps, flux handling pumps or solder paste pumps.
ViscoTec’s highly sophisticated dosing systems were developed always with the concrete application in mind. We specialize deeply in meter mix dispensing and meter mix dispensing systems.
The question was: How to design a dosing application system capable of dosing and applying adhesives, sealants, polyurethanes and epoxy, i.e. high-viscosity, abrasive and shear-sensitive media, yet which also tolerates changes in media flow properties? The easy adaptation to linked control systems was a further requirement.
And ViscoTec came up with the perfect application system for the application of dosing adhesives and dosing sealants!

    1-Component Dosing Systems

    Don’t leave the quality of your products to chance. Maximum reliability, a high level of quantity and form precision, plus the cost efficiency of your processes are the most important factors in production. Even a small deviation in dosing quantity caused by a temperature-dependent viscosity change can lead to a huge amount of rejected material.
     
    With our dispensers, we offer customers reliable, exact and automatic dosing from a few microliters to around 1 litre per second, depending on the medium.
     
    Applying and administering
     

    With ViscoTec dispensers you can achieve perfect administration and application. The special design and method of handling enable them to be easily integrated into robot and axis systems. Lightweight and flexible, ViscoTec dosing systems facilitate a quick change-over between dot application and bead application, irrespective of fluctuations in viscosity.
     
    This results in the precise application (with a high level of repeat accuracy) of a very wide variety of media, such as adhesives and sealants, soldering pastes and heat transfer pastes, insulating varnishes or greases. In respect of bead applications, we achieve a consistent bead coefficient of under 2%, even with uninterrupted beads.

    RD-EC Dispensers
    This compact ViscoTec dispenser allows accurate, consistent and reliable dosing of different media. Thanks to the particular geometry of the rotor – stator. No valve is needed in order to prevent an independent flow of the medium. Alternating open chambers provides a gentle product transfer and a pulsation free output. The EC version is designed for Easy Cleaning.

    2-Component Dosing Systems

     
    Nowadays it would be impossible to imagine modern production without two-component materials, particularly in the automotive industry, the electronics industry and the field of solar technology. But in the production of aeroplanes, HGVs, sports equipment, articles of daily use and even clothes too, there is increasing use of adhesives, sealants, fillers and insulation comprising two components (resin and curing agent).

    Only when the two components are mixed in the correct ratio, at the time they are about to be used at the production site, do they cure and achieve their ultimate strength. The primary goal for the optimum automation of such applications is not only dosing precision, but also strict adherence to the mixing ratio. With our special mixing head we ensure that the exact mixing ratio is retained from the very start to the very end of the dosing procedure, even where very small quantities are concerned.

    2K Dispenser ViscoDuo – V 4/4

    The 2-component ViscoDuo-V 4/4 dispenser is a valveless, static mixing head with dispensers located directly in front of the mixer. The mixing head functions valve-free. The components to be mixed are dosed by volume only and with no dead space into the static mixing tube via the dispensers.

    ViscoDuo-V

    The ViscoDuo-VM 2-Component Dispenser dosing system, with the dosing pumps incorporated directly in the dosing head, was developed specially for integration into robot and axis systems. Here the adhesive components are dosed into the static mixer directly after passing the pump outlet, which ensures a constant mixing ratio and exact dosing, even with short dosing sequences or quick stops and starts. The arrangement and pumping principle provided for a lightweight design and troublesome valves or plunger sealings can be avoided. With the ViscoDuo-VM valve head, the user can change easily between dot and bead dispensing as required. Therefore, this system has a wide variety of uses in the electronics industry, ranging from casting to component fixing and housing sealing applications. These static mixer pumps are can be configured as needed and required by the application.

    VisCompact Duo-Desk

    The VisCompact Duo-Desk was especially developed to give access to the ViscoTec endless-piston-principle for 2-component desktop dispensing configurations. The technology of programmable dosing volumes and mixing ratios as already used in fully automatic production lines is available for manual assembly work places now as well. The centerpiece of the product consists of 2 units of ViscoTec high precision dispensing pumps connected by an accurately fitting mixing head. The dispensing pumps are actuated by servo motors with programmable on-board control units. The system is controlled by a panel processor with touch screen interface. The system set-up and operation can be handled by users via a well-designed graphical user interface including service and calibration menus for a comfortable system operation. The two 5 l feeding tanks are equipped with clamp connectors for rapid disassembly and liquid level sensors in order to indicate a required refill task. Individual pressure sensors for dosing channel A and B monitor the dosing pressure to operate the static mixer and mixing process within the specified values. The system concept does not require specific metering components, feedback control systems or accuracy assurance options to operate within the system specification.

    Dosing Pumps VMP / VRP

    ViscoTec dosing pumps achieve precise, consistent and reliable dosing and cover a very wide spectrum of viscosities. Thanks to the special rotor-stator geometry, a valve to prevent medium from automatically flowing out is not required. Product dosing is extremely gentle and, even when conveying media with highly abrasive filler content, the dosing pumps have a long service life. Depending on the series, the ViscoTec Dosing Pumps not only facilitate dot or bead application in variable quantities, they are also used for product feed for systems with integrated preparation process.

We will make sure that you find just the right systems that are perfectly coordinated to your original pail and meet your exact requirements.
     
    Whether it’s a cartridge, tin, bucket or barrel, ViscoTec technology makes the emptying process easy. And with our accessories, barrel changes at viscosities of around 80,000 to 5,000,000 mPas are performed quickly, cleanly and in a way that is gentle on the product. Integrated into a dosing system, it is possible to not only empty containers but also to supply the application systems directly (filling fluids).     ViscoTec preparation systems enable products to be prepared and supplied evenly and reliably without any interruption from a pail replacement and allow the medium to be optimally prepared for the production process too. Homogeneous pastes and liquids free of air and bubbles are crucial when it comes to implementing a reliable dosing process. Our ViscoTreat degassing station enables you to eliminate bubbles even from media with a viscosity of 1,000,000 mPas. Our special procedure allows us to continuously extract the degassed product from the tank under vacuum so the product does not come into contact with air again once it has been degassed.
